"Am I gonna be on the internet?"

*Stephanie*
I was explaining to my husband yesterday afternoon, the purpose of Jess and I starting our blog, and I noticed my daughter seemed like she was confused by what I was telling him. So later she came to me and asked if she could be in our blog too, because she still wanted all of her pretty pictures and funny stories to be seen by everyone. I thought to myself, 'what a ham!' But the more I talked to her about the blog, and was explaining to her about how I would still post pictures and stories about her, I realized, this is truely something important to her. Even though she doesn't understand everything about posts, status', etc., it's the thought that others are sharing her awesomeness and cute pictures as if they were there all along. Amazing, how a girl's mind works, worried about what others think of them and that they see how cute they are, before they even realize they're doing it. Oh man, I'm not ready at all for the teenage years!!

OH SKY!!!

With kids, there are a lot of moments where you think to yourself (or outloud) "What did you just say, and where did you get that from??" I have quite a few of those moments with my 4 yr old daughter. She just says the most off the wall things, or the things I always hoped she didn't hear. She often does this thing, where she goes on to tell you about something forever it seems. She even does it in a "selling" kind of manner, almost like one of those info-mercials you see early in the morning. She'll do them on products she has actually seen on t.v. or even things that do not need any additional info on. Today, was a fabulous choice of hers. She walks into the kitchen, where I am on the phone with our insurance company, (I have them on speakerphone, which makes this even more awesome) and then proceeds with "Mom, let me tell you today about these things called tampons." At that point, all I could do was laugh, as well as the insurance agent. So afterwards, anytime I went to scold her for something, she said to me "if your upset with me mom, we can have the tampon talk again." How can anyone be upset or continue to be upset with your child when that is there response? My day was made. Now I can't wait to tell my husband of this glorious story. :) -Stephanie
